First Stage Researcher R1. Starting date: Job description: The aim of harnessing the outstanding optical, electrical, and magnetic properties of the crystal defects in diamond make it an interesting target in the scientific community. This project includes two main parallel parts: 1 Development and optimization of a diamond micro-patterning method: some options include photolithography, electron beam lithography, and nanoscribe 3D printing. His group established in uses solid-state defect spins to investigate the fundamentals of quantum information and the physics of coupled spin systems.
Before returning to the Netherlands as a Marie Curie fellow in , Tim investigated optically active defects at the California Institute of Technology and Brown University.

In , he was awarded the Fresnel prize for fundamental contributions to quantum optics and electronics. From to , he worked as an Associate Professor in electronics at the University of Paris 13 before obtaining the position of Full Professor at the same university. During this period, he managed several scientific research academic and industrial programs.
His research activities are related to CVD diamond growth and more particularly their application to high power electronics and quantum technologies.
