How does it work? If you go with 2 persons, maybe might not be so comfortable. The staffs were helpful during my stay although they only know very basic and little English. The manager seemed to be very helpful. His English was better. This really is a good value welcoming hotel. They want to help! My suggestion-play your part, be an ambassador for your country.

Don't expect staff- reception, restaurant, domestic to speak English, generally they have very few words, but they really do try -'Your welcome' comes back with a smile! I had two rooms over 8 nights: 5 nights in a Business room,.! Looking down to Chaoyang Rd, perfect for one or for two. Big Queen size bed, four big comfy pillows, clean white linen. Bathroom super clean. Three nice comfy chairs to sit in. Desk space. Your own PC with internet-good connection speed.

Dry cleaning-it was back in 6 hours-washed, pressed and neatly folded. Good air-conditioning, you'll need it. The room has its own safe, wardrobe- ample coat hangers, slippers, paper in Chinese was delivered daily. The 3 lifts were in constant use, yes like the hallway they're hot, but it doesn't matter, its Nanning. Restaurant, 20 yuan voucher - I was there every morning, good fresh selection, from water melon slices, a host of Chinese meals, sweet rolls, cool juices, real soya bean milk non sweetened ,iced' coffee is good-you need to ask. The staff, they're bright and cheery, Chef good to chat too, rightly proud of his menu.
My second room was the delux, for two nights, its bigger, further back in the hotel, quieter, bigger, not such a good view. Fittings all good. Air-con was playing up, I told staff, they were right up, and maintenance man fixed it in a no time. Walking distance from Nanning Railway Station and the bus to Vietnam. When checking in, like anywhere else in this region, everyone will cut in front of you in line if you're not Chinese. Staff was nice, place was clean. It's where I always stay in Nanning.
There is no fridge in the room, but that would merit an additional star and increase in price. Breakfast is so-so, and just about ok for 28 Yuan. The breakfast room is on floor 22 - only one of the elevators goes there. Only two of the three elevators were working, so waiting times can be longish. This is my second stay at Vienna Chaoyang Road, the staff remembered me from July, and made me feel most welcome, once again.

Had two stays this trip of the two nights each. Even had the same room as last time on first to night. It really is very good value, good quality. A well run hotel! This hotel is good as it is centrally located.
One can easily join the local package tour as there are many traveling agents around this hotel including hotel itself. Pick up points for local and outside Nanning package tours and to Airport are near to this hotel. The hotel is near both railway station and metro subway station. There is a MacDonalds beside and a lot of stalls, shops, eateries nearby.
